Details
A beautifully understated vintage Rolex Precision ladies’ watch dating to 1965, crafted in solid 9ct yellow gold and retaining a wonderfully classic silvered dial.
The petite round case measures approximately 20mm in diameter, with elegant tapered lugs and a slim profile that sits beautifully on the wrist. The silvered dial is finished with applied gold baton hour markers, the Rolex coronet at 12 and matching gold-tone hands.
One of the loveliest details is the centre seconds hand, which gives the otherwise beautifully simple dial a little extra movement and character. The combination of the silver dial, warm yellow gold case and restrained mid-century styling makes this an exceptionally wearable example of a 1960s ladies’ Rolex.
Inside is a signed Rolex Precision 17-jewel manual-wind mechanical movement. The watch has been fully serviced and is ready to wear.
The watch is fitted to a classic black leather strap, finished with a Rolex gold-plated buckle. The contrast between the black leather and yellow-gold case works particularly well and keeps the watch feeling elegant rather than overly formal.
At approximately 13 grams, this is a beautifully petite example of Rolex’s mid-century ladies’ watchmaking and a lovely alternative to the larger modern Rolex models that dominate the market today.
Dating to 1965, it sits firmly within the golden period of small mechanical jewellery watches, when a fine watch was designed to be subtle on the wrist rather than oversized.
Supplied with a Rolex pouch.
