Vintage Rolex Ladies’ Cocktail Watch |14ct Gold | Mid-Century

A beautifully elegant vintage Rolex ladies’ cocktail watch, crafted in solid 14ct gold with an integrated gold mesh bracelet and a wonderfully distinctive rope-twist bezel.

This is a particularly lovely example of Rolex’s mid-century jewellery watches, designed at a time when a ladies’ wristwatch was as much a piece of fine jewellery as it was a timepiece. The softly rounded 24mm case is framed by an intricate twisted rope border, giving the watch considerably more presence on the wrist while retaining the refined proportions associated with vintage Rolex cocktail watches.

The silvered dial is beautifully understated, with applied gold baton hour markers, slender hands and the Rolex coronet and signature at 12 o’clock. Its simplicity works particularly well against the more decorative gold case and bracelet, creating a design that feels unmistakably vintage without being overly ornate.

Perhaps our favourite feature is the integrated 14ct gold mesh bracelet. Finely woven and beautifully fluid, it tapers gently away from the case and gives the watch the appearance of a continuous piece of gold jewellery. The texture catches the light beautifully and makes this an especially elegant watch for wearing alone or alongside fine gold bracelets.

At 28.4 grams, it is also a wonderfully substantial piece of vintage Rolex gold jewellery.

Inside is the Rolex calibre 1400 manual-wind movement, which has been fully serviced by our independent horologist and is ready to wear.

The bracelet is best suited to a petite wrist of approximately 14cm - 14.5cm, so we would particularly recommend checking wrist measurements before purchasing.
