A beautifully elegant vintage Omega ladies’ automatic watch, crafted in 9ct yellow gold and hallmarked in London in 1972.

The petite gold case frames a classic champagne-toned dial, signed Omega Automatic and finished with applied baton hour markers and slender hands. Measuring just 20mm including the crown, it has the wonderfully refined proportions associated with mid-century and early 1970s ladies’ watches, sitting delicately on the wrist while retaining the unmistakable character of a vintage Omega.

What makes this example particularly appealing is its 9ct gold brick-link bracelet. Dating to 1967, the bracelet predates the watch by several years and is not presented as the original Omega bracelet, but its warm gold tone and finely textured links complement the case beautifully. Together they create the appearance of an elegant integrated gold bracelet watch, a style that has become increasingly sought after in vintage women’s watches.

Unlike many petite cocktail watches of the period, this Omega houses an automatic mechanical movement, combining jewellery-like proportions with traditional Swiss watchmaking. The watch has been fully serviced and is ready to wear.

At 18.9 grams overall, this is a lovely example of a solid gold vintage Omega watch with an understated design that works beautifully worn alone or stacked alongside fine gold bracelets. The petite proportions make it particularly suited to a smaller wrist, fitting approximately 15.5–16cm.

A timeless piece of 1970s Omega design and a wonderfully wearable alternative to a traditional gold bracelet or cocktail watch.
